No matter the purpose, you must first design, plan and build a booklet before distributing it to the target audience.
1. Know the Topic
Of course, the first step to creating a leaflet is to know the topic. Think about the key points that the target audience expects when researching the topic. You also have to know the resources that are at your disposal. For example, anyone designing leaflets for tips of having fun at the swimming pool should include spots that discuss topics such as fun games to play, swimming safety, and any other information on waterslides. 2. Pick a Title

4. Make Your Text Readable
You will probably print off congested and small text when designing a leaflet. However, use font size of at least 12 points, and in a clear font like Arial to avoid readability problems. Stick to simple and short paragraphs and avoid unclear fonts and whimsical by using plenty of space between words. The heading should stand out from the rest of the text. You can choose to either capitalize, bold, or underline all the headlines. Avoid crazy use of artwork and colors, and instead, keep the colors of the leaflet contrasted from the paper sheet. 7. Proofread and Edit the Text

You are likely to skip over some errors if you decide to reread and edit the leaflet immediately after typing is complete. 9. Set up Orientation and Margins

10. Prioritize Your Readers

Design the pamphlet for the recipient and not yourself. Use simple statements to make outstanding leaflets.
